action [cough] 9-9-'xx: 5:47pm god, where do i even start? i feel like i'm writing in this for the first time it's been so long...and so much has happened. well, actually....now that i think about it...not really. lots of things have happened, but nothing important really. if you want to know the truth...the last week and a half or so or...well...however long it's been since i last wrote...they've been kinda boring. i'll try and take some artistic liberty with my anecdotes and add some explosions and stuff so you don't fall asleep. so school started. and i went. that's about all there is to that. a few days later, i was already sick of my schedule. YES, sick of my seemingly perfect schedule. because journalism...i dunno. weird politics, the prospect of having to work under _her_ for a whole year...and i just plain felt out of place. but jed was talking in wind ensemble one day, and i heard him say he had physics 6th hour. "6th hour?" i say. "yeah" he says. so...well, to make a long story short, i pulled some strings and got myself put into the class...switching my thrid hour class to-- just guess. music theory. and boy, wasn't haug happy to see me! phhh. [huge ass explosion] so...NOW my schedule is perfect. anyway. i thought about it some more, and i've realized that my week REALLY was boring. i'm not just saying it this time. except for the other day...see, we had to do these presentation-type things in clemmens class. we'd choose a word [out of "the stranger"], put it on the board under a category [the categories included stuff like theme, irony, characterization, setting...et cetera, stuff like that] and then babble on about it. well, so it was andy's turn. and he chose "algeirs" and put it under setting...because that's where some of the book took place. and he starts out "as we all know..." now...that was his first flaw. THEN he starts yacking on about how it's in the south of france and...well, i stopped listening kinda because it's like a reflex now. anyway, clemmens lets him finish, and then asks him to pick up a dictionary and lookt he word up. and y'know what? algiers is in AFRICA! hahaha! who's the genius now, huh? and then [this deserves it's own line], clemmens says "next time, before you start a sentence with 'as we all know'...you might want to make sure the information is RIGHT first." oh man. you should have seen the look on his face. i've been waiting like, 8 years for that to happen. [something blows up here] and so last night, i go to the football game. totally out of character for me, i HATE football, but i've kind of grown out of that i'm-not-going-to-get-involved-with-anything-'cause-i'm-waaaay-too-cool-for-that attitude. and actually...it's the first time i've ever actually ENJOYED watching a football game. also the first time i've ever stood in the student section. jacque ended up coming, so i hung out with her and at different points in the night, the drummers and dan the man. dan the man rocks because he put up with my constant crap...like pinching his cheeks and tickling him. but it was just too much....fun. he hsould have never told me he was ticklish, that was his first mistake. ok. so hopefully, i'll write in this more frequently now. while the things that happen are fresh in my mind and i have my wits about me. wait. wits? huh? ←/ b a c k w a r d / f o r w a r d /→ |
