bride of the black hole

5-31-'o1: 2:57pm

i forgot to talk about my adventure yesterday. well...er...my kind of adventure. ok, so it wasn't really an adventure at all, but it was funny. steven needed to take pictures for the rose bowl program, since they were due out in the mail today and all. we wanted a variety...not just the big picture of the band from everett last year. so lane said for some of us to come in and he'd set up some smaller shots. there were four of us colourguard chicks there...but we couldn't find our uniforms. i have no idea where they went. so he told us to just find a band uniform that fit and put it on. i got jaime evans' uniform...it was a little long but that was good because i didn't have black socks. i grabbed my drumsticks and moseyed on out...sheli grabbed a melaphone, as did briana, and em grabbed a trombone. a trombone that reminded me of the euphonium that jacque and i so lovingly named "the black hole" during marching season. it was like, the bride of black hole.

ok. so that was lame. phhhhhhhhhh.

today wasn't much more exciting...as you can see, i'm home. larsen gave me the beginning of orchestra rehersal, so i decided to do one of those fun little excersizes where people only play if they have quarter notes or eighth notes. it was hard, but they managed it eventually. the purpose was for the orchestra to see what was going on when they have those whole and half notes...i think it worked pretty well. i'm surprised at how seriously most of the take me...i'd be pretty annoyed if some punk kid got up and rehearsed me every day if i was them, especially some second-chair 1st violin punk kid. the only people who tend to take me a little less seriously are some people that i know pretty well...and...well, they treat lane and larsen in a simmilar fashion so i'm not too cencerned about it.

i signed about a thousand yearbooks today...and a ton of people signed mine. everyone says such nice things about me...i feel bad! i don't deserve all those kind words! i suppose that's what writing in yearbooks is for though, huh? i don't think that anyone would write bad things about me. i think they should. if someone is reading this right now who hasn't signed my yearbook and they have something bad to say about me, go ahead and write it when i ask you to sign it. i dare you.

i think i'll go take a nap now. i have that lovely recital at 7pm...and then i need to finish my ib music stuff in preparation for the last day of class. sniff! i'm going to miss that class so much...ormson piled on the work but i still love him.

5 more days. absolutely nuts.
