gah.

8-24-'o1: 9:41pm

yesterday, i worked my infamous yearly fair-parking shift. i openly loathe the job and did it for two reasons only:

1] they needed non-students to do it thursday night, as that is marching band rehersal and every marching band rehersal missed gets you a foot closer to having a full grave to lie in.
2] $

this year was infinitely better than last year because instead of doing the rush hours of the two busiest nights [ friday and saturday ], i was on the night that apparently no one cares about. it was like going shopping on a tuesday.

this year, though, we got radios. well, some of us did...and i was one of them. this, of course, hoisted me to a level of importance. i would radio in and tell them how many parking spaces were left at the end of each row so they wouldn't send too many cars. for some some reason, this seemed to irritate my supervisor. so sue me for being organized.

and i won't even talk about the people actually parking their cars. and how they would whine and moan that they had to park soooooo far back. good lord. as if they weren't going to walk around the fair all night, anyway. fifty extra meters certianly wasn't going to kill them.

and miraculously, they were over staffed for this dead night and let me go at 8:45pm. praise the Lord.

by the way, i got a new e-mail address. update your books. ha.
