make a wish 6-29-'xx: 2:50am happy birthday to me, the tri-cities is burning down and it's a civil emergency! the fire, i guess, started out near the hanford site when a woman crashed her car head on into an apple truck. the woman was killed instantly (the accident was reportedly her fault, but the fire that was started eventually spread. it's been hot and dry as a fucking bone, so the fire just continued to grow until it was licking the hanford site...up to 30,000 acres....until it was licking west richland and the outskirts of richland....up to about 60,000acres....burning down houses. i can smell the smoke in here....everything was hazy and it got dark about an hour early. the local news started covering everything, displaying a list of shelters and who was to be evacuated, keepin gupdates, telling everyone the hanford site is safe, advising people to turn on their windsheild wipers to keep ash from blocking their vision. giving a really nice optimistic view of everything, saying that the fire was spreading to people's homes and hey, tomorrow there might even be 20-30mph winds to spread it even further. yay! so taco chose a goddamned fine time to visit. my dad's totally on call....and she actually saw the fires from the bus. and on top of that, i accidently plugged my VCR into the power strip over a guitar string, so the string started conducting current and then all of the sudden....ZING! it exploded into sparks and flame. i dumped a glass of tea on it. scared the shit out of me. so today is my birthday. my aunt jann got me a henna kit, which is mass rad, and some hairclips and a necklace that says "rock star". taco got me a tight *nsync notebook and an *nsync button, and a copy of velvet goldmine. a virgin copy! we're watching it now....it's kick ass man! hahaha..... anyway. so i hope that my house doesn't burn down before i wake up. what a great fucking birthday present that would be!!!!
