slow news day 6-23-'o1: 10:49pm so i figured out that first circle is the perfect jogging song. it's very deceptive...the emphasis on the beats change, but underneath all of that it has a nice steady tempo. it goes from 12+10/8 to 6/8 to 4/4 or whatever...but the quarter note remains constant. i find this unbelievably cool. so the gig today went very well...i think it was the best one i've done so far. and that doesn't have a whole lot to do with the fact that it paid more than any of the other ones i've had. but that did have influence on my feelings about it. now, i have another wedding gig next saturday...oh woe is me, that means that i can't go to the drum corps thing up at UW! but, y'know, money is money and it's a choice between staying and making $ or going and spending $. so...regretfully, i will stay in town. but besides...i may get a call from best buy. i went in there and applied today. it took me about 10 minutes to fill out the little form. i hope they call...it would be nice to work there. although...i did have a point when i said once that i'd probably spend all my money there. it'll be yet another one of my grusome excersizes in self-control. anyway so other than that today has been a bit of a slow news day. figures. i think that maybe tomorrow i will sleep in because i've woke up by 9:30am since monday and it's driving me crazy. ←/ b a c k w a r d / f o r w a r d /→ |
