living on the edge...!!! 4-26-'o1: 6:06pm so you know why i'm happy? i was just conducting a 2-beat 6/8 pattern in one hand, and 3/4 in the other. like in the ascension. what does this mean? i think i've officially slipped off the edge. lost it. y'know. i left my violin [ in it's case, thank goodness! ] laying in the middle of the band room this morning, they just set up around it. and i was frantically looking for it 3rd hour with very little success. i also left the two halves of my copy of dark chase in two completely different places...i keep leaving my copy of abram's pursuit on random stands and tables...along with my CD player and other such things. state tomorrow. one word: yikes. freaked? you bet. i'm just hoping we don't get kicked off stage. we have one more rehersal tonight at 8:45pm...then...the next time we perform is at hertz hall. have i ever told you how much i hate that hall? there's a draft. it blew my music off the stand last time i played there. drove me nuts. ok. er. i've kind of let this entry sit. i just thought i'd share my little conducting experience with all of you. as if you didn't need any more proof that i'm a complete nerd...haha. ←/ b a c k w a r d / f o r w a r d /→ |
