and it pricks like a THOOORRRRRRNNNN!

6-26-'o1: 10:32pm

so i leave for the track today and it starts to rain. i honestly don't get it. earlier in the day, it was all sunny and hot and whatnot. the weather here just baffles me.

yesterday i taught my first lesson...it was pretty interesting. it was basically an hour of getting to know my student and where she's at as far as her playing was...and her parents insist that they pay me $20 an hour. i, of course, had no objection to that. and after i went to becca's and picked up the $$$ i made at the gig [ which turned out to be $80 instead of $75...rock on! ], was rolling in the dough. well. not quite...i just have to keep telling myself that so i don't feel so bad about not having a real job.

my dad bought a huge container of chocolate covered rasins. what on EARTH was he thinking? how can i not eat them? geeeeeez. and he took me out to taco bell tonight. i am convinced: he is trying to kill me. i can feel my dinner sitting in my stomach like a rock. and YES, of course i had to eat something when we went there. you over-estimate me if you think i have enough self control not to. i ran two miles today, though, so maybe that might partially make up for it.

so colourguard rehersal was fun today, except for whatever reason i sweat more in that stupid building than i do anywhere else on earth. it makes no sense. i don't think i even sweat that much when i was in new orleans, and the air sweats there. katrina informed me that she had a show rifle at home that she had borrowed and that i could borrow it from her because they never asked for it back and she never used it. so i spent an hour and a half "practicing" doing rifle...which basically means that i would get it going and then it would whack me or i'd drop it. i have battle scars. injuries sustained from day one: bruise on palm of left hand, bruise on left index finger. i got off lucky today. we'll just see what the following days hold.

see, i'm smart, though. so that it'll be easier for me in the long run, i start out practicing on the left side. then, it's mass easy on the right side. see, i'm not completely stupid!!!

well. er. maybe.

the other day i got an application for miss american junior teen. there are two funny things about this:

a] i'm too old to compete. they said i had been refered to them by someone. whoever it was obviously was on crack.
b] YEAH RIGHT

anyway. that's enough of a dose of my wit and wisdom for now. phmhmhphhahahahaa.
